Anthony’s work is the “real deal”

by Ila Mila on Dec 03, 2014

The Memory Palace of Matteo Ricci on the Magnetic Memory Method Podcast 伙计们,自1984年以来,我一直在寻找这种材料“The Memory Palace of Matteo Ricci”… if you’ve never read it, it is a迷人historical account of how the monks of the Catholic Church used Memory Palaces to memorize scripture, and then took that to foreign countries where they memorized other languages in order to propagate the scriptures… amazing. And then I read about Memory Palaces in one of the Hannibal Lecter books … searched and searched for how toREALLY使用记忆宫方法,只有本周才偶然发现了安东尼的教义。这个家伙很棒……。安东尼,我很着迷……下周开始您的培训,先生……我想增加越南词汇,您甚至在记忆宫殿上有一个操作和免费音频JUST FORVietnamese … you are a God-Send sir…

粉剂et Memory System – Remembering Numbers using the Major Method

by Junjiae on Oct 20, 2014
RATING: ★★★★★

Dr. Metivier provides a comprehensive examination of his Mnemonic system of learning and recall. His coverage is both engaging and thorough and is applicable to the memory enthusiast and anyone interested in exercising their minds. There are several subtopics explored including assimilating new languages and remembering strings of numbers. I found his method of instruction exciting and Dr. Metivier has changed how I think about and catalog my daily experiences. I highly recommend all his podcasts. The Major method to remember strings of numbers was a favorite and so easily applied.

我很高兴我偶然发现了Anthony的播客和YouTube视频 - 它完全改变了我的学习方式。大约一年半前,我学到了一些有关记忆宫殿和相关概念的基础知识,但是在我面对一些最初的障碍之后就放弃了。

At the time, I could not find the further guidance or advice on how to expect and manage these obstacles. As the days went on, however, I noticed that my mind was constantly going back and creating visual images as a means to remember information (I’m a science grad student, btw), so I thought there must be more material out there which might be better at educating me on how to properly use memory techniques.

That is when I found Anthony’€™s podcasts and his Youtube videos. It is so refreshing to hear someone who has obviously mastered his own memory system advise beginners on the roadblocks they will face and how best to manage and overcome them. I have been a dedicated Magnetic Memory Memorizer ever since.

I try to listen to as much of Anthony’€™s material as I can during breaks from studying, and even within the past few months of implementing some of his techniques, I have already started to notice tremendous improvements in my memory.

比这更令人吃惊,我震惊the improvements I have observed in the way I take in information in general. It really has begun rewiring my brain to learn more effectively and efficiently. I can’t wait to delve even deeper into the strange and wonderful world of Memory Palaces and crazy images! Thanks Anthony for this tremendous resource, and thank you for your dedication to spreading it to people who are in dire need of it (like me!).

该播客是一个很棒的资源,拥有Anthony Metivier必须提供的所有其他内容。After listening the most controversial language technique in the world , I’ve learned that it is actually good to be open to different types of memory techniques, and why it is important to go to actual libraries and bookstores since there is only about less than 15% of written material such as books, magazines, and etc. available online. I will keep on developing memory using the Magnetic Memory Method for memorizing vocabulary and whatever else I need to remember. Being a student of both Anthony andJonathan Levi, it was great listening to their approaches on memory, and how different approaches lead to the ultimate goal of having a good memory. This podcast is a great and I recommend it to anyone that wants to improve their memory.

Jonathan Levi of SuperLearner with Anthony Metivier of Magnetic Memory Method

乔纳森·李维(Jonathan Levi)采访速度阅读

by MarkAron27 on Oct 10, 2014
RATING: ★★★★★

I found this podcast inspiring and interesting especially because of how much I have enjoyed Anthony Metivier’s generous sharing of his passion for memorization. Yet, I was pleased to the introduction to yet another person who is outstanding in the teaching of how we learn. Both of these men, mentioned the excitement that comes from paying attention to being goal directed, forming metrics to achieve those goals, and creating a sense of mission about one’s learning tasks.

While I wanted to know about Levi’s thoughts on speed reading, I appreciated what may have seemed to be to others side points of what works in learning.

例如,我感谢有关使用动作图像的观点,不仅可以引起有关单词含义的关联,而且还可以引起它们的发音。从字面上看,我有一个问题吸收了医学术语的发音(Metivier有一本书。)尚未读过。

As a clinical psychologist, I am biased toward wanting to understand the neurobiology behind memory palaces and the way that are brains process and consolidate information. Thus, even though Harry Lorayne may be correct that most people want to simply benefit from the skills of mnemonics, I continue to be interested in the academic literature on this subject as well.

Promising method

by gonzjoe on Jul 16, 2014
RATING: ★★★★★

The concepts Anthony Metivier lays out are simple and apparently very effective. I’ve used similar techniques in the past, so I know they’ll work. What Anthony has done is put it all together in a clear and easy to follow program. I’m excited to dig in and do the exercises. I wish I had been exposed to this several decades ago. But I’m glad to be learning it now.

Renewed my interest in memory techniques

Morpheus317于2014年7月6日
RATING: ★★★★★

Anthony Metivier has a great way of explaining memory methods and especially the main technique of Memory Palaces. I downloaded some of his books from Amazon and have been listening to the podcasts. I also got motivated to take his course on memorizing poetry. This is someone who clearly loves the Art of Memory and has used to to get a Ph.D. and to support his multiple interests and hobbies. As he suggests in just about every occasion, I’m motivated to show others how to do this also! Highly recommended!

Engage your Inner Child

by Memory noob on Jun 25, 2014
RATING: ★★★★★

The interview with the 10 year old girl was actually the first podcast I listened to. It was a part of my search for learning different ways of using memory palaces. It’s strange because a child allowed me to open up to using all of my imagination. She helped me to realize not everything has to be all serious and to have fun with learning. By engaging into the mindset of a child, you can learn so much. Why do you think they can pick up so many skills? Since that podcast, I’ve listened to many more, I can say this podcast really introduces you into the many ways you can engage your mind to memorize different topics. I’m glad I had the opportunity to learn from this! I’m looking forward to learning more.

by For real get it on May 17, 2014
RATING: ★★★★★

Excellent pod cast here from Anthony Metivier. Anthony’s method is a solid one, and in this podcast he does a good job of explaining that it is not really a system, even though many people are attracted to that word, but rather a method. I really like his notion of micro vs. macro systems in the memory palace. I also appreciated his focus on altering paradigms in regard to learning, and mentally preparing yourself to study. He’s realistic in the fact that this isn’t a magic trick. I also really liked his idea for index cards. Use them to put limits on yourself, and use them for planning, and save them for later to travel back to your memory palace after a substantial amount of time has passed. All good stuff.also appreciated the fact that he advocates self testing and reviewing. And finally Metivier also does a good job off isolating the relevance of what he teaches, the magnetic memory method is useful in all walks of life.

Memorize Anything!

by Preacher of the Gospel on Apr 08, 2014
RATING: ★★★★★

多么令人难以置信的方式记住只是anything! It seems that as children we are encouraged to have and keep an imagination, but as adults it is looked upon as being silly and not grown up. We need too as adults to use the imagination more for the purpose of these memory techniques! I believe that is why it is much harder for us as adults to remember anything! I look forward to hearing more and applying these techniques to even my preaching without notes! Thank You!

Super Interesting Content and Fun to Listen to!

RATING: ★★★★★

Anthony Metivier presents the magnetic memory method in a really fun and upbeat way. He provides a plethora of helpful tips and hints and gives actionable steps for improving memory palaces. At times he does speak a bit quickly, but you can really feel his passion and excitement for his method through his podcast. His interview with 10 year old Alicia is a phenomenal piece that really shows how fun and engaging the magnetic memory method can be – even for kids. The idea of shaping and creating your own memory palaces in a virtual world is something I never would have thought of on my own. Alicia is truly a memory palace master! I did also really like his thoughts on setting goals and having role models for where someone learning the magnetic memory method wants to ultimately be. Setting smaller attainable goals to avoid frustration (IMO) is crucial. I’m excited to begin my journey into the palaces of my mind!

Amazing!

by Sirwook on Mar 21, 2014
RATING: ★★★★☆

I also listened to the interview with Alicia Crosby and was very impressed with how far she’s come with this technique! She’s doing things that many adults would be proud to have accomplished themselves, and can only go higher from here. The mind of a child is truly incredible. Minecraft is, in my opinion, virtual legos; the use of this tool will truly help her with future memory palace construction as it is nearly infinite in application, and I’m really glad to know that its potential is being put to use. Go Alicia!!

What an inspiration!

听一个清晰10年旧谈论the fun she had learning something most people I know wouldn’t think about trying is truly inspiring. Alicia helped remove some of my skepticism about the method being “too good to be true”. I’m ready to dive in and see where the journey takes me.
